Hua Shan Temple
Hua Shan Temple, originally uploaded by Aaron D. Feen.
I stumbled across this photo this evening in my newly-created aggregator; soup. This image and the Flickr gallery to which it led me, truly changed my entire understanding of the aesthetics of Chinese brush painting, the Taoist Masters and the reality they portrayed in their work. I have looked at these paintings for about 20 years almost daily and erroneously made the assumption that they were representations of a mystical world-view. No, no, no Grasshopper! Look at the Hua Shan Temple at the end of the climb! I’ve had my world rearranged tonight! The literal World itself is the origin of the mysticism.I stumbled across this photo this evening in my newly-created aggregator; soup.
